Reid and I hadn't been home to my side since our wedding. It was nice to be home as a family and to get along with my sisters (hey, sisters will be sisters). We left Christmas Eve and got in at 8:30 pm. The flight was really smooth and relatively short. (Thanks Chelsea for taking us!) You know how when you get off the plane, before they let you take off your seat belt, they tell the current time and temperature; well, it was 0 degrees Fahrenheit.. the coldest weather Reid has ever been in. Oh and did he feel it! Once we stepped outside it truly felt like Christmas. Reid said it didn't feel like Christmas because we opened all our presents early at home. When we got home, Jon had put in Big Fish and so we watched that and went to bed, but stayed up till 1am talking to my mom. I didn't hear any reindeer though :( Christmas day finally came, we opened up a few presents and got ready to go to my Aunt Susan's house for lunch/dinner. It's always been a competition between our cousins and us as to who gets to her house first and we won! (I actually don't know if they think that they have to beat the Wiehoff's to Aunt Susan's the way we do.) Auntie Susie took a family picture of us that is below
Dinner was wonderful.. I love ham and potatoes and corn and cookies and these little cream cheese pickle ham wraps.. yum. I think i filled up on snacks before dinner as tradition. We introduced Uncle Shane to Scum. I love Christmas being able to spend time with my family. I wish Reid and I had a ton of time off to be able to go to Alabama and Georgia too.To keep this from becoming a 900 page novel there is just one last thing I have to mention that I think Ashley and Tim are going to want to hear. Friday was girls night before my grandmother came over for dinner so what did us girls do? Well we went to the movies and saw a great movie.
Guess what I want to start to read and does somebody have the books so that I can borrow them?We hope you had a wonderful Christmas and can't wait to see you soon!
Love,
The Johnson's

Yay! You're finally going to read them!! I knew you were going to sooner or later. :) But I'm bummed that I can't lend you my books, but if I could I'd defintely lend you the books.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! Love you guys!
P.S. I finally finished Breaking Dawn!!! Haha
Tim beat me to it, but I was going to say how desperately I wish we lived close enough that I could lend you the books. The movie was squeels-of-excitement-worthy, but the books make your palms sweat, your heart race, and every time your husband walks into the room you want to make-out with him... so enjoy!
P.S. I'm so glad you had a lovely visit with your family. I would have given anything to see Reid in 0 degree weather too. Congrats on getting to your aunt's house first. That's a noteworthy accomplishment.
