*Entropy in the universe is always increasing. Entropy is basically a measure of disorder. Ever cleaned the house and five minutes later its a wreck and your like WHAT THE HECK HAPPENED!!?? Thats entropy. Therefore if you ever get accused of having messy house or yard or something, your excuse can be that entropy works a little harder on you than most people. *This is the second law of thermodynamics, not Newton's second law.

My speculation is that by our mere existence we have broken the law of entropy. In fact, the history of evolution has shown that organisms have gotten more complex and advanced. Here's something else to think about... the creation of the universe. It likely began from an explosion and the gravity of space particles pulled other particles in closer to eventually form worlds. Therefore the Big Bang Theory and Evolution violate the 2nd law of thermodynamics right? UNLESS maybe there was a guiding hand so that it could in fact occur, if you know what I mean!
Why can't the Big Bang Theory be the mechanism by which God created the Universe. Why can't evolution be the mechanism by which God put us on this Earth? Sure there may be a missing link about where Adam and Eve come into play but there's plenty of things we wont know in this life. For example, the only thing that can travel the speed of light is light... and God. I'd sure like to know how He does it. (however, if you're goin the speed of light and you throw a baseball, isn't that ball going faster than the speed of light? Just wonderin) Because of this, though, I don't think science can prove or disprove religion. I am pretty confident, however, that it sure can confirm it.

Doctrine and Covenants 130:18-19
18 Whatever principle of intelligence we attain unto in this life, it will rise with us in the resurrection.
19 And if a person gains more knowledge and intelligence in this life through his diligence and obedience than another, he will have so much the advantage in the world to come.

Doctrine and Covenants 88:6-13

6 He that ascended up on high, as also he descended below all things, in that he comprehended all things, that he might be in all and through all things, the light of truth;
7 Which truth shineth. This is the light of Christ. As also he is in the sun, and the light of the sun, and the power thereof by which it was made.
8 As also he is in the moon, and is the light of the moon, and the power thereof by which it was made;
9 As also the light of the stars, and the power thereof by which they were made;
10 And the earth also, and the power thereof, even the earth upon which you stand.
11 And the light which shineth, which giveth you light, is through him who enlighteneth your eyes, which is the same light that quickeneth your understandings;
12 Which light proceedeth forth from the presence of God to fill the immensity of space—
13 The light which is in all things, which giveth life to all things, which is the law by which all things are governed, even the power of God who sitteth upon his throne, who is in the bosom of eternity, who is in the midst of all things.

Yum Yum!

On the 21st we started giving Abigail cereal, and she has really taken it well. She doesn't get very dirty unless she tries to feed herself, but that's more of her playing with the spoon instead of eating. We have yet to pull out the high chair so she still eats in the swing. I wish baby furniture didn't take up so much room! Haha, oh well. We all start small right? Anyway, these pictures are from her first feeding!
Hi dad, I'm eating!

Give me more!

Time Flies

Wow, so blogging obviously isn't my top priority right now if you can't tell. It feels like things are so crazy with this semester of school for Reid and me working and Abigail just growin' up! This year is it for Reid (at least at BYU) for school, and then we'll get a nice break. But we can't just look ahead till December when finals are over, we are taking it smaller. 5 more weeks of this semester, 7 weeks till the MCAT (oh we can't wait for May 1st to be done!), 10 weeks till Reid can start applying to Med schools, and then 21 weeks till there is a little break before his LAST semester starts. And if you want to keep going 39 weeks till he is done!! In there of course is Abigail's first birthday, the birth of Abigail's newest cousin Joshua, our 3 year anniversary and everyone's birthday in between!
But time does not stand still! Abigail is 6 months old already! She is really moving all over the place (no not crawling yet), she rolls from one end of the room to the other, and she's mastering the art of turning. She's also gained a new nickname from her cousin Olivia (who happened to learn it from her parents Ash and Jon). "Fatty Abby" (she weighed 20lbs at 5 1/2 months) poor little girl is going to be so self conscious growing up. (If she has a eating disorder, I'm blaming you Ash). I know she'll lose a lot once she really starts moving.
I am just so excited that spring is finally here. We have gotten to take a couple of walks around the park. I hope that we can get Abigail in some swimming classes this summer, just to get her used to the idea of that much water.

Anyway, here is what you all want so ENJOY!
She has always got her tongue out... I think Reid is teaching her bad habits :)

Motherhood

So this morning, Abigail work up at ten to 9 crying and tooting. I take her to get changed and she started coughing and threw up! She's never thrown up before only spit up. I didn't know what to do! I've dealt with my niece Olivia throwing up, but it was different cause I'll I had to do was wait for her mom. I am the mom. I take her temperature; it's 101.7. We currently don't have insurance and are trying to get some for her. With that temperature I knew I should bring her into the doctors, but we can't really afford that right now. I call my mom kinda freaking out (calmly). She tells me to call the doctors (not something I want to do in fear they'll tell me to bring her in). I took Abigail's temp again, now it's 100. I'm a little less worried, but I call the doctors anyway. My doctor isn't there so the receptionist asks a different nurse and tells me she'll call back. About 10 minutes later I do the temperature again, it's 100.5. (uh-oh is what I'm thinking) I call my boss "I may not come in today..." Doctors office calls me back "keep her hydrated... baby Tylenol for the fever..." I call mom to tell her the doctors orders, and she remembers "oh she could have a temperature because she's teething (which she is poor cutie). So I decide to go to work, but I have to find a babysitter while Reid is at class. Thank you Mandi for babysitting tonight!

I look back on all of this and I know I was overreacting with how worried I was. I have a feeling just knowing me there will be a whole lot more overreacting at the littlest things (even more so now that I'm a mom), so all of you who have to deal with me... I'm warning ya now! ;) It's a comin'!
